Situated by the River Tech, overlooking the Pyrénées, comprising 2 delightful homes. Our property can be rented as a villa for 12 people or as two separate holiday homes for 4 + 1 and 6 + 1 people.

This part of French Catalonia offers some dramatic scenery and is a must for enthusiastic walkers. The summit of the Canigou Mountain is over 9,000ft high and is accessible both on foot and by road at most times of the year.

In addition to the rugged hillsides and valleys the coast is within easy reach (approx. 35 minutes by car). Here you will find beautiful white sandy beaches and plenty of water sports.

There are good golf courses in the area such as St Cyprien 18 hole international course and the superb mountain course at Domaine De Falgos. Horse riding, pony trekking, boat trips, and the famous gorges are also nearby. However, if you simply want a quiet relaxing holiday this lovely area has one of the best climates in the South of France.

Villa Josephine has been upgraded with sympathy to retain its style and original charm; care has been taken to ensure that both homes are well equipped and offer all the comforts to help you enjoy your holidays in the South of France.

Each property has its own sitting and BBQ areas. There is a small orchard and clients may pick the ripe fruit during their visit. There is information of the surrounding area available in both properties. Brian of Catalan Care who is English and lives locally looks after the property and can be contacted should the need arise.

Villa Josephine is within walking distance of the historic hillside village of Palalda and the famous natural thermal spa town of Amelie les Bains which offers relaxation and pampering sessions as well as treatments for a variety of medical conditions. The town offers ample choice of shops, restaurants and its famous fruit and vegetable market where you can buy your fresh produce most days.

The Spanish coast line is nearby with its lovely beaches and Barcelona is approx. 1 hour and 40 minutes away.
